Perfect Chemistry

Actual rating: 3.5 stars
I actually enjoyed reading Perfect Chemistry a little more than I did the first time I read it. Second time's the charm, I guess. Anyway, that's the reason for the extra half-star. I enjoyed this book, I liked it. But I didn't like it enough to give it more than three stars.
Things I really liked: The characters. I loved Alex, and I liked his chapters more than Brittany's. Brittany was ok, I didn't particularly like her, but she was ok and I thought the relationship between her and her sister Shelley was sweet. I also liked Sierra, Brittany's best friend, for being so supportive of Brittany. Another character I liked was Paco, Alex'a best friend. He was sweet and goofy and a good friend to Alex. Alex and Paco were probably my favorite characters
So yeah. I enjoyed Perfect Chemistry. But.... a few things annoyed me: First of all, I liked Brittany, but I really wish she would have stood up to her mom earlier. Her mom was mean and judgmental and I really wish Brittany would have told her what's what. I mean, she (Brittany) is eighteen and she can't have her own opinions or else her mother will get mad? Seriously? Also, I think Brittany's mom was so insensitive about Shelley and I felt she didn't really care about her. So yeah. The mom's behavior annoyed me so much . Honestly, if she was a really person I would have slapped the silly outta her.
So, a few things were annoying and the plot line is ridiculously cliched. But the good outweighs the bad. Perfect Chemistry was good. I liked it and recommend it.
