The Tales of Beedle the Bard

The Tales of Beedle the Bard - J.K. Rowling I loved the Harry Potter series. I didn't not love this. Don't get me wrong, I liked it! The stories are cute (except for "The Warlock's hairy heart" but I'll talk about that later) and creative. The commentary is interesting and provides some insight into the world of Harry Potter.

Now, for the reason I only gave it three stars: the story "The Warlock's Hairy Heart". That story was SO weird and disturbing, and might even be scary to younger kids. Also, each tale had some sort of moral or lesson to it, except this one. What was the point of this weird and frankly kinda scary story?? Bottom line: I didn't like that story at all.

I did, however, really enjoy The Fountain of Fair Fortune. And pretty much every other story. I just hated "The Warlock's Hairy Heart".

I recommend this book to people who have already read, or are reading the Harry Potter series. Trust me, things will make more sense.
