The False Prince

The False Prince - Jennifer A. Nielsen I think I have found a new favorite.

I loved Sage. He's funny, sarcastic, and clever. His voice made the story stronger and more enjoyable. Jennifer Nielsen created a lovable and realistic protagonist.

I really enjoyed the world-building. I love fantasy and the world of Carthya was really cool. It wasn't spectacular, but it seemed very well-thought out.

There were a few characters that seemed underdeveloped (Roden and Imogen) and there were a few plot-holes (I don't want to give anything away, but if you've read the book you probably know what I'm talking about), but in the end, the good cancels out the bad. To me, at least.

Overall, I really enjoyed The False Prince and will definitely read the sequel, the Runaway King.

Last thing; the plot twist. I did not see that coming.
