I'm kind of in shock right now. It wasn't enjoyable, it was disgusting and horrible and there's a lot of hot mess, dysfunctional characters. But the mystery was enthralling and I kept on reading to discover what happened.
Also, apparently there's a film adaptation of this? I want to see it now.
On another random note, check out the song Dark Places by Quinn Archer. It's not just the name that the song has in common with the book- I feel the lyrics kinda fit too. And it's a beautiful song.
Probably not gonna write a full review for this, so feel free to leave a comment if you wanna hear more about what I thought.
