OH MY GOD. THIS WAS AMAZING. *cue ecstatic squealing* I was really looking forward to this and I'm so glad it wasn't disappointing.
(warning; this is mostly me rambling about how brilliant this book is. I'll try to write a more eloquent review later, when I've stopped fangirling)
This was a dark, eerie, atmospheric AMAZING fantasy read. It takes place in the bizarre town of Fairfold where humans and Folk (fairies) coexist together. I loved the setting. The writing is absolutely stunning, I can see it not being for everyone, but I thought it was beautiful. I really liked the characters, especially Hazel, Ben and Severin. The plot was confusing at times, but never dull.
Everything about this book, in my opinion, was perfect and I highly recommend it.
