This was a quick read, nothing special, but enjoyable nonetheless. I am slightly disappointed, because after loving The Curse Workers trilogy I was expecting more from Holly Black. But it wasn't bad, and I do recommend it.
Doll Bones is a perfect blend of cute and creepy, which actually works, strangely enough. I like the camaraderie between Zachary, Alice and Poppy, and Zachary is a likable protagonist. The story of the doll was very intriguing (and sad and disturbing), and I'm glad Eleanor got a happy ending.
Overall, Doll Bones (love that title, btw!) is a nice, quick read with some creepiness. It is quite short, but it's enjoyable.
