Putting Makeup on the Fat Boy - Bil Wright

This was a cute, fun read. It's perfect for an afternoon of light reading.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I love Carlos, he's awesome. His narration can be hilarious at times. And the slight romance between him and Gleason was adorable and so sweet. I was rooting for them to end up together.

Considering not much was happening plot-wise, I actually was never bored reading it. If makeup's not your thing, or you want a little more action, this isn't for you. But even though it wasn't an action-packed story, I actually found the plot to be pretty good.

The only thing that bugs me is that nothing is resolved in the end. Rosalia, Carlos's sister, is still getting abused by her boyfriend. And Carlos and Gleason didn't get a HEA! WHAT? Why? Oh my gosh, I really wanted them to end up together. And it's eluded to in the end that they do get together, but I wanted to see that! I didn't like the ending.

But overall, it was a pretty decent read.
