I loved this book. Awesome characters, story.... Everything is amazing about this book. The story is awesome, and the characters are all very developed. Skyla is very mean and made me hate her! But I guess that's what makes a good antagonist. overall I highly recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of Pam Munoz Ryan's or anyone who wants to read her books. If you are new to Pam Munoz Ryan's books, I suggest you start with Becoming Naomi Leon (this book) and then read Esperanza Rising (or vice versa. Just read these two books first if you haven't already read anything by Pam Munoz Ryan)
